What is the Ardentuniverse API?
The Ardentuniverse Consulting Jobs API exposes 2 endpoints for accessing the ardentuniverse.com vacancy archive. Use search_jobs to query listings by keyword or page through the full archive, and get_job to pull a single posting's complete details — including tagged experience levels, education requirements, job type, location, field labels, and full plain-text description.

Searches the employer's job archive by free-text keyword (matched against vacancy title and body; omit the keyword to list the whole archive newest-first). One round trip per page. Returns job summaries (id, slug, title, posting timestamp, page URL, excerpt) plus the archive's own total match count and page count; has_more tells you whether a further page exists. Paging is caller-controlled through page (1-based, default 1) and per_page (default 20, clamped to 100). A page beyond the last one returns an empty jobs list with total 0 and has_more false. An empty jobs list on page 1 means the archive has no vacancy matching the keyword.
| Param | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| page | integer | 1-based results page. |
| query | string | Free-text keyword(s) matched against the vacancy title and description, e.g. Junior JavaScript Developer. Omitted or empty = no keyword filter. |
| per_page | integer | Results per page; values above 100 are clamped to 100. |

}About the Ardentuniverse API
Searching the Job Archive
The search_jobs endpoint accepts an optional query string matched against vacancy titles and descriptions. Omit it entirely to list all postings newest-first. Results are paginated via page and per_page (capped at 100 per page). Each item in the jobs array includes job_id, slug, title, posted_at (site-local ISO timestamp), url, and an excerpt. The response also returns total, total_pages, and has_more so you can walk the full archive programmatically.
Retrieving a Single Vacancy
Pass a slug from search_jobs results to get_job to retrieve the complete posting. The response includes title, url, job_id, and a description field containing the full plain-text body. Structured attributes come back as arrays: experience, education, job_type, location, and field — each holding zero or more labels as tagged in the archive. These arrays may be empty if the source posting carries no tags for that dimension.
Combining the Endpoints
A typical workflow runs search_jobs with a keyword like "Data Analyst" to get matching slugs, then calls get_job for each slug of interest to retrieve full descriptions and structured metadata. Because search_jobs returns total_pages, you can enumerate the entire archive at a known per_page size before deciding which records to fetch in detail.
The Ardentuniverse API is a managed, monitored endpoint for ardentuniverse.com — not a raw scraper you maintain. Every endpoint is automatically health-checked on a schedule, and when ardentuniverse.com changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified. It is built to keep working as the site underneath it changes.
This isn't an official ardentuniverse.com API — it's an independent, maintained REST wrapper over public data. Where the source has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a stable contract over a source that never promised one, and keeps it current. Need a new endpoint or field? You can revise it yourself in plain English and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes — contributing the change back to the shared API is free.

- Aggregate consulting and professional services job postings filtered by keyword for a niche job board.
- Monitor the Ardentuniverse archive for new vacancies by comparing
posted_attimestamps across paginated results. - Extract
experienceandeducationlabel arrays to classify postings by seniority tier without parsing free text. - Pull
locationandjob_typearrays to filter remote or region-specific consulting roles. - Feed full
descriptiontext into an NLP pipeline to extract salary mentions, required skills, or deadline dates. - Build an alert system that watches
totalacross repeatedsearch_jobscalls to detect newly added postings. - Compile a dataset of consulting vacancies with structured metadata for labor market research.
| Tier | Price | Credits/month | Rate limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo | 200 | 5 req/min |
| Hobby | $30/mo | 1,000 | 20 req/min |
| Developer | $100/mo | 5,000 | 100 req/min |
| Team | $300/mo | 20,000 | 300 req/min |
| Company | $1,000/mo | 100,000 | 500 req/min |
Each endpoint has a fixed posted price per successful call — most fall between 1 and 10 credits — shown on this API's page before you run it. Exceeding the rate limit returns a 429 response. Authenticate with the X-API-Key header.
Does Ardentuniverse Consulting offer an official developer API?+
What does `get_job` return beyond the job title and description?+
get_job returns the full plain-text description, the posted_at-equivalent slug and url, and five structured attribute arrays: experience, education, job_type, location, and field. Each array holds whatever labels the archive has tagged on that vacancy — any or all of them may be empty for a given posting.Does `search_jobs` support filtering by location, job type, or date range?+
search_jobs accepts only a free-text query matched against title and body, plus page and per_page for pagination. Filtering by location, job_type, or a date range is not a parameter on this endpoint. You can retrieve the full structured fields per vacancy via get_job and apply those filters client-side. You can also fork the API on Parse and revise it to add server-side filter parameters. Are application URLs or contact details for employers included in the response?+
get_job response includes the vacancy url on the Ardentuniverse site and the full description text, which may contain application instructions or contact details inline. Dedicated structured fields for employer contact details or external application links are not currently part of the response schema. You can fork the API on Parse and revise it to extract and surface those fields if the source posting contains them. How fresh is the job data, and can I detect newly posted listings?+
search_jobs result includes a posted_at ISO timestamp as recorded by the archive. The archive is retrieved on demand, so data reflects what is currently published on ardentuniverse.com at call time. Comparing total or posted_at values across successive calls is the reliable way to detect new postings, since there is no webhook or change-notification endpoint.
