What is the Sticker Mule API?

The Sticker Mule API exposes 3 endpoints covering the full public product catalog for Sticker Mule's custom printed goods. Use search_products to browse or filter all ~75 products by name substring or category, get_product to retrieve sizes, quantities, materials, apparel colors, shipping details, and customer review data for a single product, and get_configuration_price to compute exact pricing for a given width, height, and quantity combination.

Case-insensitive substring matched against the product name or permalink (one shape: magnet). Omitted = no name filter.
Category id (e.g. custom-acrylics) or category label as returned in categories[].id / categories[].name. Omitted = no category filter. An unknown category yields an empty result.

Lists Sticker Mule's public product catalog (about 75 products in one call) with optional filtering by a case-insensitive name substring and/or by category. One row per product, sorted by site popularity rank. Also returns the full category vocabulary (id and label) seen in the catalog so callers can discover valid category values. An empty products array with total 0 is a valid result when no product matches the filters. The permalink field is the identifier accepted by get_product and get_configuration_price.

About the Sticker Mule API

Product Catalog Search

The search_products endpoint returns the entire Sticker Mule product catalog in a single call — typically around 75 products sorted by site popularity. Results can be narrowed with a query parameter (case-insensitive substring matched against product name or permalink) and/or a category parameter accepting either a category id (e.g. custom-acrylics) or its label. Each row in the products array includes a product_id, a permalink used as the key for the other two endpoints, and category associations. The response also returns a categories array listing every available category id and name, which can be used directly as filter values.

Product Detail

Passing a permalink to get_product returns the full specification for that product: preset sizes (width, height, unit), custom size constraints in inches, standard quantities, minimum_quantity, maximum_quantity, and quantity_step. Apparel products include a colors array; non-apparel products return an empty array for that field. The response also surfaces reviews data (count, average rating, and would-order-again percentage), shipping info (free_shipping flag, shipping_charge, and a note), and a currency field that reflects whichever ISO currency code was passed in the optional currency parameter — USD and EUR are confirmed; unsupported codes are rejected.

Configuration Pricing

get_configuration_price takes a permalink, width and height in inches, and a quantity, and returns both the regular_price (site list price before any promotion) and the discounted price reflecting any currently active site-wide promotion. The response includes unit_price (discounted price divided by quantity), total_price (discounted price plus shipping when available), and a has_discount boolean indicating whether a discount is currently applied. The configuration field echoes back the exact width, height, unit, and quantity that were priced, making it straightforward to display or log the priced spec alongside the result.

Reliability & maintenanceVerified

The Sticker Mule API is a managed, monitored endpoint for stickermule.com — not a raw scraper you maintain. Every endpoint is automatically health-checked on a schedule, and when stickermule.com changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified. It is built to keep working as the site underneath it changes.

This isn't an official stickermule.com API — it's an independent, maintained REST wrapper over public data. Where the source has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a stable contract over a source that never promised one, and keeps it current. Need a new endpoint or field? You can revise it yourself in plain English and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes — contributing the change back to the shared API is free.

Will this API break when the source site changes?+
It's built not to. Every endpoint is health-checked on a schedule with automated test probes. When the source site changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified — that's the self-healing layer. Each API page shows when its endpoints were last verified. And because marketplace APIs are shared, any fix reaches everyone using it.
Is this an official API from the source site?+
No — Parse APIs are independent, managed REST wrappers over publicly available data. That is the point: where a site has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a maintained, monitored endpoint for that data and keeps it working as the site changes — so you get a stable contract over a source that never promised one.
Can I fix or extend this API myself if I need a new endpoint or field?+
Yes — and you don't have to wait on us. This API was generated by the Parse agent, which stays attached. Describe the change in plain English ("add an endpoint that returns reviews", "fix the price field") in the revise box on the API page or via the revise_api MCP tool, and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes. Contributing the change back to the public API is free.
What happens if I call an endpoint that has an issue?+
Errors are machine-readable: a bad call returns a clean status with the list of available endpoints and a repair hint, so an agent (or you) can recover or trigger a fix instead of failing silently. Confirmed failures feed the automatic repair queue.
Common use cases
  • Build a custom print cost estimator that calls get_configuration_price for multiple size/quantity combos and displays unit prices side by side.
  • Populate a product comparison table using get_product to pull preset sizes, quantities, and shipping info for each item.
  • Filter Sticker Mule's catalog by category (e.g. custom-acrylics) via search_products to surface relevant products for a niche merchandise store.
  • Track whether a site-wide promotion is active by monitoring the has_discount field and regular_price vs. discounted price from get_configuration_price.
  • Display customer review signals (rating, count, would-order-again percentage) from get_product on an affiliate or comparison site.
  • Pull the full category vocabulary from search_products responses to drive a dynamic filter UI without hardcoding category ids.
  • Retrieve apparel color options via the colors array in get_product to show available variants before directing a user to the product page.

Frequently asked questions
Does Sticker Mule have an official developer API?+
Sticker Mule publishes an official ordering API for placing orders and managing artwork, documented at https://www.stickermule.com/developer. That API requires an account and OAuth. The Parse API described here covers the public product catalog and pricing data without requiring Sticker Mule credentials.
What does `get_configuration_price` return beyond a total price?+
It returns regular_price (the list price before promotions), the discounted price after any active site-wide percentage promotion, unit_price (discounted price divided by quantity), total_price (discounted price plus shipping charge when published), and a has_discount boolean. The configuration object echoes the exact width, height, unit, and quantity that were priced.
Can I retrieve order history, artwork files, or account-level data through this API?+
Not currently. The API covers the public product catalog, product specifications, and pricing for configured products. Order history, artwork uploads, and account-specific data are not exposed. You can fork this API on Parse and revise it to add endpoints targeting those capabilities if your use case requires them.
Does `get_product` return pagination, or are all details in one response?+
All details for a single product are returned in one response — there is no pagination within get_product. Similarly, search_products returns the full filtered catalog in a single call rather than across pages; the total and catalog_total fields tell you how many products are in the filtered result and the full catalog respectively.
Does the API expose turnaround time or production lead time per product?+
Not currently. The API returns shipping info (free_shipping flag, shipping_charge, note) but does not expose per-product production or turnaround time estimates. You can fork this API on Parse and revise it to add that field if it appears on the source product pages.
