What is the Ticketek API?
The Ticketek Australia API exposes 10 structured fields from a single event performance page via the get_event endpoint. Pass any premier.ticketek.com.au show or ticket URL and receive the event title, subtitle, venue name, street address, suburb, state, postcode, start and end times, and the lowest published ticket price in AUD — all in one response.

Returns the details of a single event performance from a Ticketek Australia event page URL. Accepts a show page URL (shows/show.aspx?sh=<SHOWCODE>, optionally with &v=<VENUECODE> and/or &p=<PERFORMANCECODE>) or a ticket page URL (events/<SHOWCODE>/venues/<VENUECODE>/performances/<PERFORMANCECODE>/tickets). When the URL names a performance, that performance is returned; when it names only a venue, the earliest performance at that venue is returned; when it names only the show and the show is a multi-venue tour, the earliest-dated performance is returned and all_performances lists every performance with its own event_url so a specific one can be requested. Dates and times are the event's local time (as published by the site, including the venue's own timezone). end_time comes from the page's 'Running Times' section when it lists a finish time for the selected venue and is null otherwise. price is the lowest face value across standard ticket types for that performance (companion-card/carer complimentary tickets excluded) in Australian dollars, 0 when the cheapest standard ticket is free, and null when no pricing is published. Two site requests per call. A show code the site does not know returns a stale_input (input_not_found) error; a URL that is not a Ticketek Australia event page returns stale_input (input_format_invalid).

What the API returns
The get_event endpoint accepts a Ticketek Australia event page URL and returns details for that specific performance. The URL can follow either the show page format (shows/show.aspx?sh=<SHOWCODE>, optionally with &v=<VENUECODE> and &p=<PERFORMANCECODE>) or the ticket page format (events/<SHOWCODE>/venues/<VENUECODE>/performances/...). All 10 response fields map directly to what Ticketek publishes on that page.
Response fields
The title field returns the event or act name from the page heading, and subtitle captures a tour or event subtitle where one is listed. Venue information is broken into discrete fields: venue (building name), location (street address), suburb, state, and postcode. Timing data includes end_time in 24-hour HH:MM format drawn from the Running Times section — this is null when Ticketek does not publish a finish time for the selected venue.
Pricing
The price field returns the lowest standard ticket face value in Australian dollars as a number. It is 0 for free events and null when no pricing is published on the page. The currency field is always AUD for this site. Note that this is the face value floor only; fees, booking surcharges, and premium tier pricing are not broken out separately.
The Ticketek API is a managed, monitored endpoint for premier.ticketek.com.au — not a raw scraper you maintain. Each endpoint has a fixed posted price per successful call — most fall between 1 and 10 credits — shown on this API's page before you run it. Exceeding the rate limit returns a 429 response. Authenticate with the X-API-Key header.
