What is the Q4inc API?

The Q4 Events API exposes 1 endpoint — get_event — that returns 12 structured fields for any public Q4 Inc investor webcast, identified by its numeric meeting ID from the event URL. A single call surfaces the event name, host company, UTC and local start/end times, lifecycle status, access configuration (video, captions, replay, Q&A), dial-in numbers, and any published materials, all without submitting a registration.

Returns the public details of one Q4 Events webcast identified by its numeric meeting ID (the number in the event URL). One upstream request; no registration is submitted. Returns the event name, host company, type and status, start/end as UTC instants plus the organizer's declared IANA time zone with the same instants rendered in that zone (the registration page itself renders the time in the viewer's browser zone, so its label can differ), a 'joining_url' (the public guest registration/entry page) and the 'already_registered_access_url', the guest registration requirements (whether guest registration is enabled, how many minutes before start it opens, the standard form fields — First Name, Last Name, Email, Company Name and Company Role, with the Company fields waived for individual attendees — plus any event-specific custom fields, the consent text and terms URL), and access details (video, live captions, replay/archive flags, Q&A, and dial-in numbers when published). 'cost' is always null: the site publishes no price and the registration form has no payment step. An unknown meeting ID returns a stale_input (not found) error.

About the Q4inc API

What get_event Returns

The get_event endpoint accepts a single required parameter, event_id, which is the numeric meeting ID found in the event URL at events.q4inc.com/attendee/<event_id>/guest. The response includes event_name, the organizer's declared time_zone as an IANA identifier, and dual timestamp representations: start_utc / end_utc as ISO 8601 UTC instants and start_local / end_local rendered in the organizer's time zone with its abbreviation. The status field reflects the site lifecycle state (e.g. NOT_STARTED, indicating the event has not yet gone live).

Access Configuration and Materials

The access object bundles several feature flags in one place: video_enabled, live_closed_captions, replay_enabled, archive_enabled, and questions_enabled. It also includes dial_in_numbers, a label-to-number map for telephone attendees. The materials array lists any files the organizer has published alongside the event; it may be empty before the event begins. The cost field is always null — no admission fee is published for these investor webcasts.

Coverage Scope

The API covers any public Q4 Inc-hosted webcast reachable via the standard attendee URL. Each call targets one event by its numeric ID. The endpoint returns read-only pre-event and event metadata; it does not submit registration, join the webcast, or retrieve live transcript content.

Reliability & maintenanceVerified

The Q4inc API is a managed, monitored endpoint for events.q4inc.com — not a raw scraper you maintain. Every endpoint is automatically health-checked on a schedule, and when events.q4inc.com changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified. It is built to keep working as the site underneath it changes.

This isn't an official events.q4inc.com API — it's an independent, maintained REST wrapper over public data. Where the source has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a stable contract over a source that never promised one, and keeps it current. Need a new endpoint or field? You can revise it yourself in plain English and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes — contributing the change back to the shared API is free.

Monitored & self-healing
Will this API break when the source site changes?+
It's built not to. Every endpoint is health-checked on a schedule with automated test probes. When the source site changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified — that's the self-healing layer. Each API page shows when its endpoints were last verified. And because marketplace APIs are shared, any fix reaches everyone using it.
Is this an official API from the source site?+
No — Parse APIs are independent, managed REST wrappers over publicly available data. That is the point: where a site has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a maintained, monitored endpoint for that data and keeps it working as the site changes — so you get a stable contract over a source that never promised one.
Can I fix or extend this API myself if I need a new endpoint or field?+
Yes — and you don't have to wait on us. This API was generated by the Parse agent, which stays attached. Describe the change in plain English ("add an endpoint that returns reviews", "fix the price field") in the revise box on the API page or via the revise_api MCP tool, and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes. Contributing the change back to the public API is free.
What happens if I call an endpoint that has an issue?+
Errors are machine-readable: a bad call returns a clean status with the list of available endpoints and a repair hint, so an agent (or you) can recover or trigger a fix instead of failing silently. Confirmed failures feed the automatic repair queue.
Common use cases
  • Calendar sync tools that ingest start_utc and end_utc to schedule reminders for upcoming earnings webcasts.
  • Investor relations dashboards that display event_name, status, and time_zone for tracked public companies.
  • Alert systems that poll status to detect when a webcast transitions from NOT_STARTED to live.
  • Accessibility auditing workflows that check live_closed_captions and replay_enabled flags across multiple events.
  • Aggregators that collect dial_in_numbers from multiple events to present telephone access options to non-browser users.
  • Research pipelines that index materials arrays to track when pre-event documents (slides, press releases) are published.

Frequently asked questions
Does Q4 Inc offer an official developer API for its events platform?+
Q4 Inc does not publish a documented public developer API for events.q4inc.com. This Parse API provides structured access to the public event data available on the attendee pages.
What does the access object contain, and how granular is it?+
The access object contains five boolean flags — video_enabled, live_closed_captions, replay_enabled, archive_enabled, and questions_enabled — plus dial_in_numbers, a key-value map of region or line labels to their corresponding phone numbers. These reflect the organizer's configuration for that specific event ID.
Does the API return registration or attendee data for a webcast?+
No registration is submitted and no attendee data is returned. The API covers only publicly visible event metadata: schedule, access flags, materials, and dial-in numbers. You can fork this API on Parse and revise it to add a registration-submission endpoint if that capability is needed.
Can I retrieve a list of all upcoming Q4 Events webcasts rather than looking up one at a time?+
The current API covers single-event lookup via event_id; there is no search or listing endpoint that returns multiple events. You can fork the API on Parse and revise it to add a multi-event discovery or search endpoint.
How fresh is the data returned by get_event?+
Each call to get_event retrieves the current public state of that event page, so status, materials, and access flags reflect what is visible at request time. There is no caching layer or fixed refresh interval built into the endpoint itself.
