Gov APIserviceonline.bihar.gov.in ↗
Access Bihar's RTPS e-District certificate services via API. List services, fetch application form fields, and resolve cascading location dropdowns for residence, caste, income, and EWS certificates.
What is the Gov API?
This API exposes 3 endpoints covering Bihar's RTPS / e-District online certificate portal at serviceonline.bihar.gov.in. The list_services endpoint enumerates every department–service–level combination available under the portal's Apply Online menu, including service IDs for residence, caste, income, non-creamy-layer, and EWS certificates at block, sub-division, and district levels. The remaining endpoints let external applications reconstruct and render any application form exactly as the portal presents it to citizens.
No input parameters required.
curl -X GET 'https://api.parse.bot/scraper/2a2b40d7-0943-4b24-9f99-d74fd749be97/list_services' \ -H 'X-API-Key: $PARSE_API_KEY'
Returns every service listed under the site's 'Apply Online > RTPS Services' menu, one row per department/service/level combination. Each row carries the department, the service name, the office level (Block Level, Sub-Division Level, District Level, or null when the service has a single entry point), the numeric service_id used by get_form_fields and list_field_options, and an online flag. service_id is null for entries that are only available at a physical RTPS counter or that link to another government portal. One home-page load plus one short redirect lookup per online link; no pagination.
No input parameters required.

}About the Gov API
What the API Covers
The API surfaces three capabilities from Bihar's RTPS / e-District certificate portal. list_services returns a flat array of every service row in the portal's Apply Online menu. Each row includes department, service, level (Block Level, Sub-Division Level, District Level, or null for single-level services), a numeric service_id, and an online boolean indicating whether the portal links that entry to a live form. The total field tells you the count of rows returned without any pagination parameters to manage.
Form Field Definitions
get_form_fields accepts a service_id (e.g. 463 for the block-level residence certificate) and returns the complete field schema of that form, grouped into named sections. Each field carries field_id, bilingual label (Hindi and English), type (text, radio, checkbox, select, etc.), data_type, required, max_length, min_length, digits_only, and otp_verified flags. Select and radio controls include a populated options array of {value, label} pairs. Cascading location dropdowns return an empty options array instead and expose a parent_field_id pointing to the dropdown that must be resolved first. The response also reports field_count, form_title, form_heading, and captcha_required.
Cascading Location Dropdowns
list_field_options resolves one level of the location hierarchy (state → district → sub-division → block → panchayat / police station) at a time. It requires field_id, service_id, and the parent_value selected in the parent dropdown. Each returned option carries value (the code the form submits), label (English name), and label_local (Hindi name). The response echoes field_id, service_id, parent_value, and parent_field_id so the caller can chain calls to walk the full hierarchy without tracking state externally.
The Gov API is a managed, monitored endpoint for serviceonline.bihar.gov.in — not a raw scraper you maintain. Every endpoint is automatically health-checked on a schedule, and when serviceonline.bihar.gov.in changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified. It is built to keep working as the site underneath it changes.
This isn't an official serviceonline.bihar.gov.in API — it's an independent, maintained REST wrapper over public data. Where the source has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a stable contract over a source that never promised one, and keeps it current. Need a new endpoint or field? You can revise it yourself in plain English and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes — contributing the change back to the shared API is free.

| Tier | Price | Credits/month | Rate limit |
|---|---|---|---|

Each endpoint has a fixed posted price per successful call — most fall between 1 and 10 credits — shown on this API's page before you run it. Exceeding the rate limit returns a 429 response. Authenticate with the X-API-Key header.
Does serviceonline.bihar.gov.in have an official public developer API?+
What does `list_services` actually return, and can I filter by department or level?+
list_services takes no input parameters and returns all service rows in a single response with a total count. Each row includes department, service, level, service_id, and online. Filtering by department or level must be done on the client side after receiving the full list, as the endpoint does not accept filter parameters.Does `get_form_fields` return the options for cascading location dropdowns like district and block?+
get_form_fields returns an empty options array and sets parent_field_id on the field. The actual options for those dropdowns must be resolved separately by calling list_field_options with the appropriate field_id, service_id, and parent_value. Each level of the hierarchy (district → sub-division → block → panchayat) requires a separate call.Does the API cover application status tracking or certificate download?+
list_services, form field definitions via get_form_fields, and location dropdown resolution via list_field_options. Application submission, status tracking, and certificate retrieval are not included. You can fork this API on Parse and revise it to add endpoints covering those portal features.
