IAS Exam Portal APIiasexamportal.com ↗
Retrieve IFoS Agriculture past-year paper links and structured question data from iasexamportal.com. Two endpoints cover paper listings and per-question detail.
What is the IAS Exam Portal API?
The iasexamportal.com API exposes two endpoints for accessing Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Agriculture exam content. list_paper_links returns a filterable index of every Agriculture paper URL published on the site, while get_paper_questions delivers every question stem and lettered sub-question from Paper I and Paper II for a given exam year, including section labels, question numbers, and mark annotations where the source shows them.
curl -X GET 'https://api.parse.bot/scraper/621d015b-fec9-4521-b377-5aea2bf1ada6/get_paper_questions?year=2001' \ -H 'X-API-Key: $PARSE_API_KEY'
Returns every question and lettered sub-question of the IFS Agriculture Paper I and Paper II for one exam year, as a flat list in page order. One round trip. Each row carries the paper, section (A/B), question number, sub-question letter (null for the question stem itself), a human-readable reference such as 'Paper II Q1(a)', the exact printed English text, and the printed marks string exactly as shown (e.g. '5 + 5 = 10'); marks is null when the page prints none, and text is null when a question has no stem text and consists only of lettered parts. All alternatives ('any four of the following') are preserved as sub-question rows. question_count counts question stems only. A year with no published Agriculture paper returns a stale_input (not found) error; years 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005 were confirmed to exist during the build, and page layout differs slightly between years.

}About the IAS Exam Portal API
What the API covers
The API covers IFoS Agriculture exam material hosted on iasexamportal.com. list_paper_links returns an array of papers rows, each carrying a year (integer), a paper label ('Paper I', 'Paper II', or null for combined yearly pages), a destination url, and a label as published on the listing page. The exam and subject fields are constants ('IFS - Indian Forest Service' and 'Agriculture' respectively). Agricultural Engineering papers are excluded from results. Two optional filter parameters — year_from and year_to — let you narrow results to a specific year range; both accept 4-digit strings.
Question-level detail
get_paper_questions takes a single year string and returns a questions array that flattens all question content from both papers into page order. Each row identifies paper, section (A or B), question_number, and sub_question (a letter for sub-parts, or null for the question stem itself). The response also includes a title field with the page's published heading, a papers array listing which paper labels were found, and a question_count integer summarising the total number of distinct question stems across both papers.
Coverage and filtering
Results from list_paper_links are returned sorted by year descending, then by paper. The years array in the response lists all integer years present in the filtered result set, and paper_count gives the total row count. When year_from or year_to are omitted, no bound is applied in that direction, so a bare call returns all available years.
The IAS Exam Portal API is a managed, monitored endpoint for iasexamportal.com — not a raw scraper you maintain. Every endpoint is automatically health-checked on a schedule, and when iasexamportal.com changes and a check fails, the API is automatically queued for repair and re-verified. It is built to keep working as the site underneath it changes.
This isn't an official iasexamportal.com API — it's an independent, maintained REST wrapper over public data. Where the source has no official API (or only a limited one), Parse gives you a stable contract over a source that never promised one, and keeps it current. Need a new endpoint or field? You can revise it yourself in plain English and the agent rebuilds it against the live site in minutes — contributing the change back to the shared API is free.

- Build a searchable archive of IFoS Agriculture past papers indexed by year and paper label
- Generate question-count statistics across exam years using the
question_countfield fromget_paper_questions - Identify which exam years have both Paper I and Paper II available versus only a combined page
- Populate a study-app question bank from the flat
questionsarray for a specific year - Cross-reference section A and section B question distribution within a single exam year
- Automate year-range queries with
year_fromandyear_toto build a time-bounded dataset - Track the presence of lettered sub-questions across years using the
sub_questionfield
| Tier | Price | Credits/month | Rate limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo | 200 | 5 req/min |
| Hobby | $30/mo | 1,000 | 20 req/min |
| Developer | $100/mo | 5,000 | 100 req/min |
| Team | $300/mo | 20,000 | 300 req/min |
| Company | $1,000/mo | 100,000 | 500 req/min |
Each endpoint has a fixed posted price per successful call — most fall between 1 and 10 credits — shown on this API's page before you run it. Exceeding the rate limit returns a 429 response. Authenticate with the X-API-Key header.
Does iasexamportal.com have an official developer API?+
What does `list_paper_links` return beyond the paper URL?+
papers array includes year (integer), paper (the label string or null for combined pages), label (text as shown on the listing), url (destination page), exam, and subject. The top-level response also carries years, paper_count, and the year_from / year_to bounds actually applied.Does `get_paper_questions` return the full question text?+
paper, section, question_number, sub_question, and mark annotations where shown — but the full prose of each question is not a documented response field. You can fork the API on Parse and revise it to add a full-text field if that is required. Are papers for subjects other than Agriculture available through this API?+
How far back does the paper listing go, and are all years guaranteed to have both papers?+
null paper label rather than separate Paper I / Paper II rows. The papers array in the list_paper_links response makes the per-year availability explicit.
